Principal's Message

Dear Highland Elementary School Families: 

It is a true honor to serve as the Principal of Highland Elementary School. I am excited to partner with our students, staff, and community as we continue to build on Highland’s history of academic excellence. I believe every student deserves a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where they can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. My leadership is grounded in collaboration, equity, and strong relationships, and I am committed to making decisions that always put our students first.

I began my career as a middle school literacy teacher in Chicago Public Schools and have proudly served the Skokie School District 68 community for more than a decade as a Multilingual Educator, Department Chair, Reading Specialist, and Assistant Principal. These experiences have strengthened my passion for creating engaging learning opportunities, supporting outstanding teaching, and partnering with families to help every student develop the confidence and skills they need to succeed. 

I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Northeastern Illinois University, a master's degree in Reading Education from Concordia University, and a master's degree in Educational Leadership from National Louis University. I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in School Administration and Leadership. I look forward to working together to ensure Highland remains a place where every student thrives and every family feels connected and valued.
